Let threads disagree
Two chats reaching different conclusions is information. Keep both, then merge them and ask the model to reconcile the disagreement explicitly. The tension usually points at the interesting part.
Synthesize on the canvas, not in your head
The final write-up is a merge draft with every relevant leaf in scope. Because the workspace holds the whole investigation, the summary can cite its own history, and you can check every claim against the thread it came from.

Does NodePad browse the web or manage citations?
NodePad is the workspace, not the browser. Models with tool access can bring material in, and attachments carry documents into messages. Citation management stays your call; the canvas keeps which-thread-said-what visible.
